Fronted by singer/guitarist Joey Leone, who was voted by Guitar Player magazine as one of the countries “best unknown guitarists” back in 1991, Chop Shop delivers the goods when it comes to ass kickin’ rock and roll shows. Joey’s downright soulful performances are a combination of James Brown and Jimi Hendrix. Meet the band members:
Tom Read on bass. Tom is what a bass player should be, solid, big sounded and comfortable with his place in the rhythm section. He transitions smoothly from blues to rock to funk. All with ease and power. And he's got great hair. Glendon Ingalls plays trumpet and upright bass in the band as well as providing horn arrangements. In Joey's own words "Glendon is the best musician I have met since I came to Vermont ten years ago" and his trumpet solos are dazzling. People just can't get enough of the multi-talented Glendon . Adam Sawyer on trombone is a very committed and professional player. In only one short year the 24 year old Adam has made himself an indispensable cog in the band. His detail oriented approach to the section is a welcomed addition. On sax we have one of the bands most popular members Rich Williams. His soulful sax playing has added so much to the group that on a rare occasion that he cannot make a gig (hey he's human), people immediately ask, "Hey Joey where's Rich?". Check this cat out he's the real deal. On drums, our newest member drum virtouso Jon Hussey. Jon is a graduate of North Texas University's prestigeous Jazz Program and is not only an accomplished jazz musician, but also shows incredible skill and dedication to all types of music. Jon hails from New York via Los Angeles, and at only 25 years of age he is a powerhouse musician.
