Yes, Joey Leone has played with lots of famous artists on stages all over the world but that's ancient history. The real story is that Joey is singing, playing and performing better than ever. Since relocating to Vermont from NYC over ten years ago he has with the help of some very gifted musicians, taken this very competitive scene by storm. His intense versatile performances have prompted his audiences to say over and again "what are you doing in Vermont?" Joey loves what he does. And what he does is entertain. Every performance different, yet signature Joey Leone. You can see him performing his acoustic show, amazing his audiences going from acoustic Led Zeppelin to lightening fast bluegrass flat picking. Next in Joey's musical menu is his trio which highlights Joey's electric rock and blues repertoire. It's not unusual to see Joey step out with his unique guitar driven covers of 60's rock classics and then smoothly transition into an instrumental spatial version of a pop standard such as "Misty" or "Over the rainbow". And if Blues is your thing well go no further. Joey is just plain and simple one of the best blues guitarists on the planet. Just ask Guitar Player magazine or blues legend Lonnie Youngblood. Lonnie said in 1997 "Joey is the best guitarist I have played with since Jimi Hendrix." Guitar Player magazine singled Joey out in 1991 touting him as one of the best unknown guitar players. On the weekends Joey takes the stage with his big band, boasting a "tight as a clam's ass" horn section that will amaze you with its funky renditions of R&B classics, old school funk, and quirky ska covers of jazz classics. Joey's band is a talented group of committed full-time artists who add their own flavor to Chef Joey's gumbo. All this sound too good to be true? Only one way to find out - make your way over to the "appearances" page, print out the schedule and get yourself some of the good thing . 'Cause as Joey has said on many occasions, "there ain't no such thing as too much of the good thing."
